Four Day School Week
I am wondering if anyone has information or has ties to schools that have 4 day school weeks. If you have any information, please share.

With the current massive state deficits, more schools are entertaining that idea. My current district is thinking of lengthening the school day with the possibility of shortening the week (a last resort however). I don't know how productive kids will be for an 8 hour and 30 minute school day (or staff for that matter). Is this something your school district is thinking about?

We currently have a committee exploring this as a possibility for next year. Most information that I find tends to be from administrative perspective which is good, but I want other views as well. It is the current financial situations that has us looking into this option.
