Face to Face networking at Tutor/Mentor Conference in Chicago on Nov. 19 and 20

I meet many different people via my Internet work, and share many of their ideas on my blog and the links at http://www.tutormentorconnection.org

Every six months I host a conference in Chicago intended to draw together people who focus on volunteer based tutoring and mentoring, online learning, workforce development and other strategies aimed to help kids connect with adults and learning in the non school hours, so that more come to school every day better prepared to learn.

The next conference is Nov. 19 and 20 and will be at Northwestern university in Evanston. We are still organizing workshops and panels, so if someone from Classroom would like to present workshops about on-line learning opportunities that kids and volunteers in tutor/mentor programs could take advantage of, or just host a panel of people who meet on line, but have never met face to face, go to the conference site and fill our the presenter form, or post a message to me here so we can discuss.
