I used to use Etherpad but since they were bought buy Google I have been relying on Google Docs more. Etherpad has a limit of 16 users, so far I havent reached a limit on Google Docs.

What are you looking to use it for?

I am getting confused. I really like Etherpad but I keep reading rumors that they have been bought. Do you know if Google will change the service? It would be nice if they would combine their docs with Etherpad.

Primary Pad is an Etherpad alternative for edu running on the same source code (so the experience is the same). Hope that helps!

Primary Pad is now open free to schools worldwide - http://primarypad.com
