Well Term 1 is coming to an end. Only one week to go and what a busy term it has been. As always there have been many issues with the computers around the school. It always seems to happen after we reimage them all in the school holidays.
The Grade 5/6 students are really making effective use of their laptops. It has been great to see them using the laptop on their desks instead of at the back bench is their rooms. It has really allowed the flexibility. It has also been great to see that the ACER aspires are being used by differnt classes.
Exciting ews! I have been able to gain funding to do some Action research on the effectiveness to y\usnig hand held devices in the Middle Years. I am really interested to see what impact a WII and DS will have on student Numeracy outcomes and also as a flow on student absenteesism and punctuality.
Teachers were quite amazed to find out that many of their students owned and had access to numerous hand held devices and games. This project starts at the beginning of term 2-will be interesting to see what the impact will be.
