Calling all HoDs/SLs for ICT, Network Managers and LA advisors for ICT/VLEs

I have recently been granted a Naace research bursary to investigate the implementation of VLEs in schools (in the UK). To that end I am now consolidating my proposal and planning out the details of a research tool. Before I circulate the finished version of my questionnaire/survey I would like to trawl further opinions on the progress of VLEs, bearing in mind the expectation that every school should have a VLE up and running by next year.

If you have any immediate opinions about VLEs specifically, or would like to test out my draft questionnaire, please would you be so kind as to respond directly on my e-mail link below. You can also see more of my initial ideas on my website – specific pages can be found at: VLEs & PLEs

or look at the blog on Coming of Age

Although there is no reason for me to participate personally in your initiatives, I am grateful to you for pointing out VLE and PLE activities in the UK. They are of interest to me, and I will be looking over them more carefully in the near future.

My only view would be that schools and most other educational organisations should be heading towards using Moodle. My preferred VLE, and just my view.
