Digital Textbook Idea Spreading

The Lone Star State has jumped into the move toward digital textbooks. A recent bill signed by Gov. This will allow districts to invest in other ways that may be far more affordable adding more "bang for the buck". California and Texas usually set the trend for how education goes, due to their large populations. Here is the… Continue

Introducing the Digital Arts Toolbar and the Teacher Tech Toolbar!

I recently created a toolbar for my Digital Arts students to access the various freeware and cloudware resources we use in class. I also included a directory of engaging educational games and activities. Though it's designed with my students in mind, I'd like to share it with the rest of the Classroom 2.0 community. Here's the link - http://digitalarts.ourtoolbar.com/…

Digital exchange with a child in India

I am searching for a child in India who might do a digital exchange with my son! He is 8 and at school in Manchester, England. His topic this term is India and I wondered if there was an Indian child who might like to talk with him via Skype, or video message or audio or photos or text, to share their experiences of life and culture, and learn about each other's country.

Please reply here or message me if this is of interest!

Thanks

(Number 2 seems interesting to me.)

The Wisconsin Charter Schools Association is hosting their annual conference in Waukesha at the Country Springs Hotel (about 20 minutes west of Milwaukee). I have to say, they have put together a pretty interesting conference, and they promise that all the sessions will be interactive.
