One of the strange things about the web2.0 world is whether collaborative communications in large groups can be handled asynchronously. I stayed on the west coast rather than going to Atlanta for NECC with a couple of my fellow employees. If I had gone, I would probably have looked forward to Steve Hargardon's EduBloggerCon07 unconference the most of all.

With your work in Ed Technology and Web 2.0, I recommend you take a look at Wiziq's virtual classroom and authorstream's power point presentation platform. Both are web based platforms, have a bunch of features and free basic service.
