About Me
Hi everyone. I'm Mike Temple, from Kent in the south east of the United Kingdom.

I'm an educator and writer, innovator, collector, organiser and remixer of resources and innovative ICT approaches, focussing on their implementation in the classrooms of the 21st century.

I am currently working in ICT (technology) and supportive behaviour management and I'm trying hard to gather and share ways of using emerging technologies in the wider school community, particularly with the disaffected or disconnected students.

My video collection - eclectic and educational

If you haven't yet come across vodpod, (www.vodpod.com),
could I suggest that you might find it useful. It allows you to have all your video clips, along with youtube, google vids etc online a in collections, ready to share with anyone with an internet connection.
It is free to use and is limited to 15 "pods", but with a quick email, you can expand this. I've found it most useful, you might do too. It also allows embedding of collections into websites, blogs etc.
Have a look at my collection

TalkShoe is a great site that allows you to set up an online broadcast channel. This is like a radio station and you can have listeners as well as contributors.

You can record the show - the bit I thought was really good- and then it gets uploaded to your 'Channel' as an mp3 file within a few minutes. It can then be downloaded or streamed by the listener.

In addition to this, you can… Continue

Hi Mike,
I just thought I would check in with you. I am a teacher from Manchester, England and I am now teaching in North Carolina. I am also interested in technology and how it can be used in schools at all levels. I have a background in behaviour management with 10 years at an SEBD school in Rochdale.

I am relatively new here. I am from Ghana and I'm just here to learn, contribute as well as link up with like-minded people who will be willing to share their experiences as well as help in spreading the concept of distance learning and adult education to Africa, which lags behind as far as education is concerned. hope to find a friend in you.

Hi Mike, there seems to be a growing number of UK educators dropping into Classroom 2.0, Doug Belshaw also set up Nexgen... which has grown rather fast. It would be great to catch up over the summer sometime. Like yourself I am an educator, collector, organiser and remixer of resources and innovative ICT approaches. Although I do not work directly with disaffected students, Soton is a low achieving educational area. Our students at College, lower band and I am finding some real success with more practical learning approached. Kristian

Hi Mike, we have our offices in Canterbury, and cover the South East of England. If you have anything to do with ACL or SEN, (as well as anything connected with Post -16.. there are some useful 'Real Meet' forums in Kent. Let me know if you want more information.

Hi Mike! It says you're from the U.S. and we know that's not true. BTW, the kids LOVE our cluster map. Thanks for sharing how to put it up.
