Which comes first..the story or the images?

Posted on August 5, 2007 at 10:18am 1 Comment

I've had many discussions with undergraduate and graduate students about digital stories as reflective tools and one question always gets a lot of airtime, which comes first..the story or the images? We focus on story first, however as a digital society and the ease and convenience of taking digital photographs making each of us an amateur photographer, which comes first...

Reggio and Digital Storytelling: Making Learning Visible

Posted on August 5, 2007 at 8:38am 2 Comments

My own preschool classroom began to document their own learning with the use of digital photographs and recorded and written narratives. These experiences resurfaced much later when as a graduate student I began connecting documentation with digital stories of learning in the classroom.

To resolve that I'm going to start placing blog posts here from all over which may seem random but I'm hoping you will find a post or two that interests you and we can start a… Continue

Hi Cyntia, I noticed an interest in digital storytelling. I wonder if you have heard of the adventure author project here in the UK.

You may be interested in the publications on the project leader's webpage.
