At 5:59pm on August 5, 2007, Garry McNeilly said…: YES! and I just refer to them as "speed bumps". Many of the sites available would be so useful but the students just cannot access them from school. A good example is the SplashCast site for streaming of multimedia. I spent weeks working with year 8 students exploring the sites capabilities so that they could broadcast their school assignment work 24/7 for friends, family and teachers to see....but just as we were getting a handle on it it got blocked by our watchdog. Very frustrating when your employer talks the talk re innovation and ICT integration but continually places the speed bumps in your path.
