Dear Sir,

I am VINOD KUMAR GUPTA

B.ED 2012-2013,

ROLL NO. 261.

This article talks about the importance of ICT in the evaluation of learners and discusses the problems that learners had faced. Evaluation has always been an important aspect of teaching, it is not only evaluation of the learner but, also of the teacher who imparts knowledge. A learner can learn even without attending his school and college but by just using these tools he can attend his lecture by sitting anywhere he wishes and at any time. Evaluation has always been an important aspect of teaching, it is not only evaluation of the learner.

This article talks about the importance of ICT in the evaluation of learners and discusses the problems that learners had faced in the absence of ICT like temporal constraints, spatial constraints and opportunity constraints. But with the help of ICT and Web 2.0 how easy it is for learnesrs to interact with teachers and discuss their problems even after the school.  With the help of these tools Evaluation is also more easy and transparent which was not so before.  A learner can learn even without attending his school and college but by just using these tools he can attend his lecture by sitting anywhere he wishes and at any time.  This is constantly improving the performance of learner and he is able to see the process of his evaluation more clearly and find out his weak points and  can work on them to improve himself.  The various kinds of tools mentioned in this article are very effective and useful for the learner of today as gone are those days when learners were asked to give an exam which would decide the whole year perfomance of students by just a paper and ignoring even the bright students who would fail just because they were ill at the time of their exams.  Now with the help of CCE and ICT with web 2.0 teachers and learners both can together work for enhancing the abilities of learners.

Evaluation has always been an important aspect of teaching, it is not only evaluation of the learner but, also of the teacher who imparts knowledge, and evaluation shows how successful the teacher has been in performing his/her duty. With ICT evaluation has become easy for both the learners and the teachers, the article clearly states how technology has been useful for past many years for learners of any age group, and with changing times it is very clear that without technology nothing is possible. CCE is also an excellent way of evaluating, evaluation on regular basis, wherein it is not difficult for a learner to perform and there is no stress of final evaluation like it was present in earlier times, where lot of tension and stress is built for the quarterly or yearly examinations. Overall an excellent article explaining about evaluation as an important aspect and how it can be improved in our education system.

This article gives various information regarding evaluation and technologies facilitating the evaluation. It is very helpful to the person like me who is newcomer to the field of internet or web tech.  as per the new C.B.S.E. pattern of evaluation it becomes more useful to know the techniques of learner centered evaluation.
