I teach 7th grade Language Arts, and I have been teaching for going on 10 years. I have an almost 13 year old son who keeps me on my toes and one on the way in a few months. My labor day is Labor Day, in fact. My partner is a great guy who is also a teacher and I'm really looking forward to being a new mommy again! :)

Nice-32 laptops. Sounds like you are on your way! I agree a decrease in referrals is a telling indicator of engagement for students.

To be honest , I didn't even think about where we were at, the girls were getting ready when I asked them to help me and so we just started filming.It wasn't till after when we played back that I realized we could see the bathtub. but the girls didn't want to do it again.

I agree with you Sonya about the Digital Media question.  I think students lose face to face social skills too.  They also write they way they talk, and they use incorrect spelling and abbreviations the way they do when they text.
