The 6th graders at Chichester Central School in Chichester, New Hampshire (USA), would like to invite you to participate in our blog.  We have created a blog, which we hope will allow us to explore varying diets from around the world.  Our goal is to understand what other country’s diets consist of and what they consider to be healthy.  Here in New Hampshire, we eat a lot of seafood and lobsters as we are so close to the Atlantic Ocean.  We also grow and eat fresh corn, apples, strawberries, blueberries and even pumpkins.  If you are interested, please visit our blog at cgagnon.edublogs.org and respond to the “World Diets” page.  If you respond, it would be helpful if you could include which country or area of the world you are responding from.  If you are not interested, it would be much appreciated if you could pass this along to a friend or colleague that may be.

We here in New Hampshire look forward to your response.  Thanks

-Chris Gagnon – 6th grade teacher

Are you at all interested in trying something this year?

Ramona,
My apologies for not getting our VT done but we are set up to do it with third grade next year. We had some pics this year to use but the Voice Thread account got set up too late. We also have some PhotoStories that third grade did about various states. They are third grade work, probably not on the level of your kids but their English skills might be similar. Let's keep up with this.

What about your kids writing a book for ours and ours giving you a tour of Tampa or our school or something similar. We could do PhotoStory or VoiceThread or PowerPoint book reviews. I doubt that they will be studying the same topics, Poetry is also something that might work--we would have to think carefully about how to do that. We are just getting video conferencing equipment installed; maybe something would work on that.

Hi Ramona,
I'm a tech coordinator in a private school in Tampa. I am interested in what you do and hope maybe our kids could do a co-project. Do your kids use English?

Sandy
