Phyllis Francois replied to Delanie Wolfe's discussion 'Uniforms or Not?'
Yes, that is exactly my point that by not wearing a school uniform will create a greater sense of superiority or inferiority. I agree that students should be taught that the clothing in which they wear do not add or diminish value but it is indeed…

Phyllis Francois replied to Delanie Wolfe's discussion 'Uniforms or Not?'
Yes, In my opinion students wearing school uniforms does maintain a better schooling environment. It is obviously cost effective; and most importantly, all students are made to be or feel equal. This means that by wearing school uniforms, students…

Investigating The Potential of Using Touch Table Technology.

We are in the era of touchable surfaces. Has anyone started using the Diamond Touch table for learning in the class room? How do you use it?

Phyllis Francois replied to Jeff Kohls's discussion 'Global Terrorism Simulation'
I think this is the way forward. Kids are aware of global terrorism and emotinally affected by it although they are not directly exposed to it. Your topic will definitely give children's perceptions of terrorism.

You could download a 30 day trial of SMART Notebook from http://www2.smarttech.com/st/en-US/Support/Downloads/default.htm Typically, you make your own lesson using the Notebook software which is similar to PowerPoint. Notebook also has over 5000 pictures in the gallery including clocks.

The topic choosen is an area of the Numeracy curriculum that pupils in the Infant Department have problems grasping. However as an educator I feel that technical applications should be child friendly interesting. Children enjoy learning time using multi-media programs on the Smart Board and the Active Primary Interactive Board. Children enjoy participating by 'doing'. It is worth bearing in mind that a combination of resources can be used to teach the concept of time.

:))) Thanks for your support , I have paint them long time ago , I wish I can do it again :)) you know Endy Warhole saying, that every one has its own 15 min of fame :)) not any more we shrink on 15 seconds or even less such as 15 particals of one gigabite :))) or something like that , you know we subject our self on speed with such promptness that the time for contemplation is not any more there :)) maybe this would be as an addititon to the time concept for kids about the realativity of the term time. Any how thanks for looking into my work.

I am glad I could help. I am an Instructional Technology Resource Teacher in Virginia, USA so I help teachers learn how to integrate technology. SMARTBoards are my favorite technology tool because I see so much potential in the Notebook software. Let me know if you have more questions.
