I know a teacher who used pizza boxes. Another teacher took pipe cleaners and made handles and then large oaktag folded in half to make the sides, and made little "briefcases for their work" -- the two might even be combined!
How do you store published writings that students do? I do a "portfolio" share at the end of the year in 1st grade, but I am looking for a more appealing way to display their work (we currently use big file folders or envelopes that the children decorate).

With your interest in Ed Tech integration, I recommend you take a look at Wiziq's virtual classroom and authorstream's power point presentation platform. Both are web based platforms, have a bunch of features and free basic service.
