With your interest in Technology Integration, I recommend you take a look at Wiziq's virtual classroom and authorstream's power point presentation platform. Both are web based platforms, have a bunch of features and free basic service.
Here’s a Public Class on Technology Integration you might be interested in given by Nellie Deutsch.
Happy New Year! I was wondering if you or your students would be interested in participating in a nationwide SAT Vocab Video Contest @ MIT university. If not, perhaps you have some educator contacts you could direct me to.
You can view contest details at BrainyFlix.com Please let me know. Thanks!
my schedule can sometimes be crazy....I feel it is like being "Batman", and I react when the Bat signal goes up in the sky to go help or solve a problem...other times I feel like the Western Travelin' Medicine Show, hawking new "spirits" for teachers to try out in the classroom...
Congrats! You will love it. Each day is different, a mix of working with administrators and teachers, curriculum meetings, planning units of instruction that use technology, and troubleshooting misc problems. I'm working more with teachers in their own classroom (co-teach) lately, as I find that the one hour workshop after school just isn't very effective. I love to learn new things, and feel it is my job to do so and share what I learn with others in ways that are easy and manageable. Taking time to set goals (long term and short term) will be very helpful as you get going. Good luck! Keep in touch, OK?
Sorry for the delay in my response.
Basically my company is an LMS provider who also provides training content to help teachers integrate technology into the classroom. All of our training is web-based for easy tracking within the system.
Our newest content we just created is focuses on Web 2.0 technologies. The topics include: Blogs, Wikis, Podcasts, Online Photo Sharing, Online Video Sharing, and Interactive Whiteboards.
Throughout the training program teachers build their own Cirriculum Integration Plan by answering questions and reflecting on what they learned throughout the training. That way at the end of the material, each teacher has a personalized plan that will help them use these tools in their lesson plans.
