About Me
I teach German in a Primary School and I am a 3/4 classroom teacher always on the lookout of ways to integrate children's interests into our school learning programme. I would love to read how I could do this with computer games to which my boys especially are addicted.! We already are getting into Quest Atlantis and Superclubsplus.

Hi Jan. Good to reconnect. I'm back from Azerbaijan and considering a Docker River position. Do I want to go remote again? Hmmm.

This is a great group to belong to. It is so large that you need to be clear about what discussions to follow.

Strangely enough, in answer to your brief bio, I've just started a group in Classroom2.0 on Video Games and Literacy. I'm doing an M.Ed subject called Literacy and New Technologies and my final essay is on using video games (computer game) as a context for learning literacy. The subject affirms the value of the multiliteracies involved in ICTs. I have only introduced the topic in the group and discussion has not yet begun, but I have a lot of readings and links that can be shared.

Something I'm excited about is the possibility of using a game like Myst or Guitar Hero (a Sony PlayStation game) with an interactive whiteboard in the classroom.

I'd love it if you signed up on the group and invite other interested folk to join as well. I'd love it if you would share your experience with Quest Atlantis and Superclubsplus over on the group page. Tell us what is working well and why you've decided to go down that track. I haven't used games at all yet but I'm convinced that it will be a major part of the rest of my teaching.
