I am a grade 3 teacher. This is exactly how I was feeling last year during the summer. I had gone to a conference that Will Richardson spoke at and I attended ISTE 2009. It's amazing what is out there. One of the things which I began with was a…
Thank you to everyone for your offers. I have downloaded various forms and forwarded them to the people in our board in charge of this with a request for something more updated along these lines.
Hi Anne, Thank you so much for this. These were the types of forms I was looking for. I have forwarded the site to our IT department with a request to use this type of format.
I was wondering if anyone out there has samples of what their school or Board uses as far as internet usage consent. We have one in our board, however, I'm not sure if it is the best out there. If you are willing to share I would appreciate it. thanks
I have used Blogger in this past year. Our board offers email accounts for students which I used for blogger. We send out a disclaimer at the beginning of the year which encompasses photo/internet usage and posting. It has been very successful with…
I know your point on this. I have too seen some of these websites and used some, however, I do forget about them if I don't readily use them. I am hoping to create a document on google docs (which I use daily) with all of these websites listed…
Hi Tiffany. I have just joined this forum. I teach grade 3 in Hamilton, Ontario. Over this past year I have done a variety of things such as blogging, podcasting, wikis with my students. I only did them at the school level but they were extremely…

Hi Isabel,
We are off for the summer, but some of my students are still finishing up a podcast. We had a few sick kids at the end of the school year. :-)
I have my own iTouch that I use at home all the time. Through various networking sites, I have discovered a lot of people encouraging their use in schools so let me how you are encouraged to use them in the classroom. I would love to starting using them in my classroom as well.
Hi Isabel! Sounds like you are implementing a lot of technology, which is wonderful. What activities, if any, have you done with the iTouch in the classroom? We use ipods for podcasting etc., but I would love to start using all the great capabilities of the iTouch.
Hi Isabel and welcome to classroom2.0 I am sure that you will find many like minded people here. Glad your school is pushing technology to all walls. How did that happen? Did your principal endorse it? Did the push come from teachers?
Hi Isabel,
I teach Grade 3 for the Simcoe County District SB (north of Barrie). I saw your reply in the Blogging for Elementary Students thread. I was just wondering if you would be willing to let me see your blog. Mine is at:

This was my second year doing a blog and I started a wiki toward the end of the year. I have a SMART Board in my classroom so I try to integrate it most of the time. I would love to hear about some of the technology you are using. You are SO lucky that you got to go to NECC!!! Did your board pay for you to go? Was there any special provincial funding that I should know about? I followed it a bit from home. I'm already planning to go to ECOO in November and was hoping to go to the OTF Technology workshop this summer, but the timing didn't work out.
