Hi David
My name’s David and I’m a history teacher in Queensland, Australia. I use a lot of podcasting and online tools with my classes and am always looking for new ideas.
I host a group on diigo (it’s similar to delicious and very popular with teachers) for history teachers to share links, ideas and resources. It’s at http://groups.diigo.com/groups/history-teachers.
Please come along and join and share any sources or resources you use with the rest of us. See you there.
Regards,
David Hilton
Ancient & Modern History Teacher

Hi David!

Happy New Year! I was wondering if your colleagues or students would be interested in participating in a nationwide Vocab Video Contest @ MIT university. We'd really like to get more students involved from Texas!

You can view contest details at BrainyFlix.com Please let me know. Thanks!

Thanks for sharing the sampling of your projects. They look pretty awesome. I love to see what other people are doing. Do you do this as a part of your Middle Ages unit and is there any written or presentation aspect of the assignment? Again, very cool!

David- I'm glad you liked the video on the city-state project. I use it as a comprehensive final for first semester. The kids really get into it and take it to another level each year. I appreciate the comment from you!

I enjoyed looking at your wife's website and your blog. Great stuff! Thank you for sharing. I plan to work on my own website this summer; hopefully I can share that with you later. What did you use to download youtube clips etc onto your blog ? I worked on that today and I am having problems. I am working off a MacBook.
I will be flying into Dallas on Sunday, and the following Saturday, on my way to Tucson and back - AP Econ Workshop- we have to go every two years) I'll wave as I come through...... I will read more of your blog and your wife's site when I have some down time next week.
Enjoy your weekend! Do you and your wife have Facebook? I have my pics of my kids posted on that site.

Hi David. Thanks for the compliments about the blog and yes, please pass it on to your wife. I just looked at your blog and website.... loved them! And yes, your son is adorable. Does your wife have a website?
