I work on the California Adult Literacy Professional Development Project (CALPRO - see http://www.calpro-online.org). I support the use of alternative delivery methods to provide professional development (PD) products and services to adult education instructors and administrators. Since 1984, I've been involved in teaching English to speakers of other languages, mostly doing teacher education and PD. For the past 11 years, I've done a lot of that work online.

Hi Catherine,
I, too, don't check in with this ning as often as I would like to, but I had my twitter up today, following COABE #chcgo10, and I saw Steve Hargadon's post about today being the 3rd anniversary of Classroom 2.0, so I logged in and worked on my profile and added a few more colleagues.
Unfortunately, I don't know about the interview where S. Hargadon talks about the beginnings of this ning. He may feature it on the home page today. Or Marian may have it bookmarked in her delicious account. She, Penny and John are in Chicago this week.
Talk to you soon.
