Back again! Just signed up for teacher 2.0.  via Mighty Bell. There seems so much to do and seemingly little time, even with a task manager and toodle do list! I have been working with 6 to 11 year olds this half term across 4 schools creating video / still image video and using mobile device media with pupils on various topics, but all 'digital story telling' in various forms. Because of school protocols it is difficult to share this with a wider audience. It has been going very well and I am…See More

Ipad and end of term reflections

After two very busy terms, since I last updated my status in February! and conscious of not attending to 2.0 as I I'd like. Some more work with primary and special schools introducing iPad Apps for data handling, Easy Chart HD, works well, as an immediate data capture activity, putting the graph images into powerpoint, pupils found images from the internet on the theme (favourite TV characters) and described the data in each of the graphs.Another iPad App that pupils has worked well in…See More

A "gold-mine" of Web tools!

I have recently come across www.go2web20.net which has a large collection of web2.0 tools under various and many categories, which can be search under subcategories too. I have found some very useful ones and others with some potential for students of most ages (and schools and teachers too). if anyone has not yet seen or tried www.wallwisher.com (some of our UK Education Authorities block this!) ;) for students or…See More

Trying On-the-Fly video in Lessons

Over the last two weeks I was in two different special schools with Senior Pupils - Ages 12-14 with my MAC Book, (never leave home without it) although the purpose in the first class was to show the teacher and use a switch-based program with the pupils on their "Pirates" topic". We had finiished those switchIT and ChooseIT resources and had a little time left. As the pupils were currently thinking about what they would put in their own personal "Treasure Chest" I switched over to the MAC and…See More

10-11 year olds beginning to blog on the school blog we have set up for them. The school has a set of net books so that each pupil can use this in class. The first lesson had the teacher dive right in and as the story was being read to the pupils, they were putting up their comments / ideas about the sotry (characters, what happens next etc). Pupils are also commenting on each other's entries so there is a… Continue

Hi A,

With your work in Technology, I recommend you take a look at Wiziq's virtual classroom and authorstream's power point presentation platform. Both are web based platforms, have a bunch of features and free basic service.

Here’s a Public Class on Technology Integration you might be interested in given by Nellie Deutsch.
