Is there a way to create folders in VoiceThread? My students create a lot of VoiceThreads and I would like to be able to keep things in order.I would like to make folders for different assignments and different classes.

Hi Marie,

Yes there is, well basically you can get the same functionality. Just create a Group and then share any VT that you want with that Group to place it within that Group view on your 'MyVoice page. If you don't add any other people to that Group it will sort of act like a personal folder and you can drag any of your own VoiceThreads into it(or those that you're a co-editor of)

After Aug 10th you'll actually be able to just drag-n-drop them to share them. Attached is a screencast preview of how that will work:)

Hello Steve!

Great! Thanks! I look forward to doing a bit of organizing come August 10th.

I am thinking though, maybe "Groups" is not the best term for this function. Maybe for example "Sets" or "Collections" would be more suitable.
I think you're right, the name comes from what they represent, the shared work of the group but I think something like 'shared folder' would make that more understandable.
Thanks for sharing that preview here Steve. Can't wait for drag-n-drop as well as the new manage tools!
