Hello everyone,

I teach Spanish in the elementary grades and have used Skype to connect with classes in Spain and Argentina. If you're interested in finding schools to start collaborative projects or to simply have your students practice Spanish, I invite you to check out my latest blog, Finding Global Partners. I outline several sites and tips for starting global collaborative projects. Your input is greatly appreciated.

I just perused your blog. Very nicely done. I will recommend your blog to the elementary Spanish teacher at our school. Thank you for sharing and adding your knowledge to our profession.
Thank you! Please let me know if I can help her in any way.

Skype has a new Beta directory out to help teachers to connect with other classrooms.  http://education.skype.com/
I loved your blog. I am fairly new to teaching Spanish but I am finding so many valuable resources. I have wanted to create some sort of buddy system with another Spanish speaking country since last year.  Thank you for sharing

Elvira,

I teach Spanish I to eighth graders in Crofton, Maryland.  I am very much interested in having my students pair up with students from Spain.  Today we just started our new unit of lessons; our county of theme is Spain.  Consequenly, it would be great to connect with students from Spain.  How can I get my students connected?

Here is my e-mail at the school: irios@aacps.org.

Thanks,

Ibby

Elvira,

I think I've replied before but I am responding again.  I teach 8th grade Spanish and am interested in connecting with a class in Spain.  Let me know the step to do so.

Thanks,

Ibby
