I was an English teacher at a public school for two years, then chose to stay home to homeschool my son for his freshman through senior year in high school. I chose to not return to the brick and mortar due to the fact that I saw the positive results in my son's academic achievement and wanted to be a part of the environment that made such a difference. I was impressed with the company, KC Distance Learning, and the curriculum they used. Above all, I believe ALL learners are capable of learning gains when exposed to the right educational environment. The online environment seems to tap into the iGeneration's desire for immediacy and novelty.
