Blogs and other web 2.0 tools are great resources for teachers and students to use. We're gradually seeing more web 2.0 tools make their way into the classroom. Blogs, microblogs, wikis, social networks, dashboards and activity feeds are just the tip of the ice berg. If you guys would like to give me refine and improve my site, feel free to check it out at www.diipo.com and give me some feedback!

Yes, Twitter is a great example of a microblog. Similar websites include Tumblr.com. My website Diipo.com (currently still in Beta) and Edmodo.com are two alternatives tailored for the classroom for educators to use.

I have used blogs in the classroom for a number of years with success. They are great for collecting evidence of activity's and work related skills.
