I am looking for an easy to navigate search engine for my younger grades (2nd and 3rd). Also, if anyone knows of a good online kids encyclopedia it would be appreciated. I am trying to teach keyword searching skills to kids who do not have access to computers at home and therefore are not as familiar with the internet as I would like them to be.

Squirrel Net is a great search engine for kids if you haven't tried it. Here's a link:

I like sweetsearch.com. I also have other kids safe search engines listed on my website: www.bzkids.org.. You can look on any of the class pages. I have a variety of options. good luck.
