Deven, even though you won't have a physical presence at ISTE, we know you'll be there in spirit and I'm sure you'll check it out virtually.

I'm glad to see that Beth has so much support for the Newbie project. Together we can do anything.

Add me to the list of people willing to give you a hand with continuing the project. Unfortunately, I won't be able to be in Denver with you to be part of that conversation, but I'm sure you won't lack for ideas without me.

Yes. I would turn my application in to you to be on the committee. I'd love to work with you, Paula and the newbies. :) Just keep that in mind.

Okay, we can definitely work it out with you when we are all together this summer. It will be great to have everyone involved in one spot. Very excited about this summer. See you there.

Paula and Donelle---- I really need to think about this more before I decide where to go from here. I have some ideas that I am kicking around. Definitely want to talk about this during pre-Estes since both Newbies will be there to lend some guidance.

Beth,
If you do not continue with this project it will be a shame. I love Donelle's idea of a committee to keep it going (and maybe expanding?). I would love to be a part of that committee and I'm sure Richard and Jason would too. Maybe one condition to being picked the ISTE Newbie is that you have to help with the program the following year. We are here to help. Long live the ISTE Newbie Project!!

I think what you have done is a fabulous idea. Many of us want the opportunity to attend conferences but are not able to do so because of funding. I had to say no to several opportunities in the past but was so blessed to be able to attend NECC last year.

If you decide to do it again next year, consider a committee of people to work with you. Anything like this takes a lot of time and commitment. It might be hard for one person, but if there were 4 of us working with you... imagine the possibilities. :-) Something for us to chat about in Denver over dinner.

Donelle---We ended up getting some help from some unexpected places. I will share when I get the OK to do so.

Really thinking this might be the last year I do this project. I did what I set out to do. Just not sure if I can commit to yet another year to this.

I'm so glad the goal was met. And we still are several months away. That's awesome! It will be great to continue to follow Jason's blog after ISTE10, to see what an impact it will make in his teaching and PLN experiences. Looking forward to the conference and seeing all of you!

I'm looking forward to meeting Jason face-to-face in Denver. Having a supportive PLN makes going to a huge conference like ISTE more personal and therefore more meaningful.
