I'm looking for ePals users who currently have or are interested in a collaboration with teachers and students in Bangladesh. We have information to share on an interesting adventure.

Please let me know asap if you or a colleague fit this criteria!

I might be able to work something out. I teach gifted students and might be able to incorporate something into the classroom. Could you provide some more information? We are located in Iowa. My email is aarmau@gmail.com
Thanks, Aaron. Do you have an ePals or any other collaboration account for your students now?
Dr. Oates,
I'd be interested in collaborating with the teacher in Bangladesh. I do have an account set up for my students on ePals. Let me know if I can be instrumental for your request. My email is whitney_allen74826@yahoo.com
Hi, Whitney, thanks so much. You can see the current matches through ePals when you search on Bangladesh. We expect some new classrooms to be posted in the next five weeks, too, after a couple of teachers visit some schools with new internet connections. The students are likely to be middle school age or older.
Using your ePals account, write to the person attached to this profile: Eather Newaz
and she will also help you with schools in Bangladesh also using ePals. She lives in Bangladesh.
I really appreciate your interest!
Sign up for a free teacher account on ePals at www.epals.com.
You can then search for classrooms in Bangladesh (or elsewhere) and communicate directly with those teachers.
Also, you can sign up your students for free, safe and protected student email called SchoolMail from ePals. This way your students could be paired up with students in other places to learn more about life there, whether across the country or around the world. You could use our free "The Way We Are" project or design one of your own.

We have classrooms in 200 countries, so your students could have some interesting experiences. Students in Chile started the fall semester on March 4, and in Australia they started by Feb. 4. The students in Brazil are still on summer holiday and will be back in school about Easter (early April). Keep that in mind when you think of southern hemisphere relationships!
Have fun!
I'm doing a free one-hour webinar on how to use these tools today (March 9) at 4:15 pm eastern and other dates too, all posted on Classroom 2.0 under "events" or let me know if another date/time is better for you. We have lots of gifted students who are active in ePals collaborations around the world!
I know a teacher who teaches 5th grade primary school in Indonesia that is also looking for a partner to collaborate for her class. She has 24 students in her class and will be delighted to join. My email is metiks@gmail.com
Thanks so much! Please ask her to "join" ePals so that she can be part of the safe and protected community with her students. www.epals.com and see "join" on right side of screen.

She might want to use the project called "The Way We Are" with students in another country. See:
http://www.epals.com/projects/info.aspx?DivID=TheWayWeAre_overview
All the ePals projects are free.

She could also look in the Projects Forum for teachers:
http://www.epals.com/forums/132.aspx
She needs to join ePals before communicating with anyone in the Projects Forum, however.

Thanks for suggesting her, and please pass on this information to her! Thanks!
Thank you Dr. Oates,

I've passed on your info to her and I'm sure she'll join very soon.
Dr. Oates,
I'm interesting in such a project. I live in Rocksprings, TX (pop. under 1300) which is a rural area. The majority of my students are Hispanic. I teach journalism, theater arts, reading, sophomore ELA, and yearbook.
