Discovery STAR DEN program
How many of you, the members, of this Discovery Education group participate in the DEN program? I am one. I truly appreciate all the information, free on-line training, and relationships I have developed through DEN. SO, I encourage all users of Discovery Education resources to join and participated in the DEN program.
There are four Kansas STAR DEN members I have recently learned of at the 2007 MIT (MACE) Conference in Bonner Springs, Kansas. We want to pursue the establishment of a state Discovery Education leadership team. The main objective of our leadership team would be the development a strong, supportive user group to meet your needs and interests.
With that strong feeling, I am calling all educators in Kansas to express their interests in Discovery Education. What do want to see improved or added? What type of training would get you motivated? Finally, how many of you would like to have our own state user group?

Ever since their reorganization back in December, I've found the DEN hard to connect with. I understand there is a DEN leadership team for Virginia, but I've never been contacted, I haven't heard about any "goings on", didn't find out there was going to be a DEN presence at NECC (Shirts etc.) until I was at the conference. I'm a little disappointed. It was much better before. At least I got a monthly email and knew what events were happening.

Ruth, I am sorry to hear that Virginia has not been communicating well with you. I am located in Kansas. We are just starting to create a state leadership group. We hope to continue developing the use of Discovery products and teachers sharing ideas over the next few months.
