Would like to create animations to teach children financial concepts

Hi there

I am new to this forum. I apologize if this has been answered before but has anyone created animations that teach children concepts? I am interested in creating animations based on my children's stories. There is software out there, like crazy talk 6.0, or state, but it seems to be very complicated. I am open to suggestions, ideas etc.
