I have been given the opportunity to use ipads with the 5 year olds that I teach. I don't have an ipad myself so I have no idea about the apps that I could use to support their learning. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks for your input!

I'm currently contributing to a blog tour called Share a Story - Shape a Future 2011 with a post about Online Resources for Reading and Writing. More useful still, one of my fellow contributors, Holly, at LitLad, has a great post about some apps she uses with her young sons.
Check out all the apps that people were using for iTouches.  There are many free apps for 5 year olds to explore.

I put together a list of Apps for Education a while ago.

I'm not sure if they'll be of any use to 5-year-olds, but it's worth checking out!
