I have been entrusted by my school to find the best Math apps for our new iPads for next year.
Please help me out.
1. List the name of the App
2. The function of the App (ie. basic arithmetic, solving equations, flash cards)

Khan Academy has a website and an app (Algebra 1) that is GREAT!!
A website that allows students to work at their own pace and sends you (and parents) "report cards" is:
A list of others I have used in class (6th & 7th Grade)
DiaMath - basic algebra function
Math Tour - basic math with a little added Geography
Pizza Fraction - fractions with pizza - go figure! ;-)
Slice It - fractions
Factor Factory - factoring
Flashcards Pro - allows you to create sets of flashcards online for the students to use for review on their itouch or ipad
FlowMath - multiplication
Fraction Factory
Freddie Fraction
Math Knack Genius - basic math functions
Motion Math - fractions, decimals, percents
Pearl Diver - fractions
Picturing Fractions
Pop Math Basic - very basic addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
These are just some that my kids really enjoyed playing.
Check into Ten Marks though... it is a GREAT program and still FREE for teachers!!
