A teacher in Shanghai here. Hope you can answer my question.

We have our own copy of wiki at school. I don't know why it didn't work when the whole class wrote on the same wiki page at the same time from the computer lab.

I set up a wiki page for them. The page had five different sections and it worked out that 2-3 students would be writing in the same section at the same time from our computer lab here at school. The problem occurred when they saved. Most of them got a page full of error codes and only a couple of them could save appropriately.

What went wrong? Any ideas or suggestions?

Hi Samran, the trouble with wikis is although you can have more than one person writing on the same page at the same time it is not a good idea. What normally happens is one persons work will overwrite the other person.

If you read comments on my post here you will see people explain the problem and discuss strategies to stop it form happening.
Thank you so much Sue. That is really helpful.
