Bonjour tout le monde,

I live in Fredericton NB (NB'er born and raised) and work at the ministère de l'Éducation (we have linguistic duality in K-12 education here), where I coordinate the developement and delivery of HS online courses (20+ courses), with a great team of dedicated teachers. I also am very keen to web 2.0 tools for learning. Just like the commercial said: Imagine the possibilities!

Merci for the invitation, Sue. Yes those animations (ex. fossilization of Trilobites) are also en anglais. Go to www.edumedia-sciences.com and select English (if not already browser-detected).

OK, still trying to add myself to the map...

Hi y'all,
I teach French as a second language online and face to face in a tiny rural district.
Normally, I'm constantly cruising- adding to my moodle courses and pacing my delicious network. I'm a true believer in online- connected education but have enjoyed unplugging.

I'm a Career Developer (but I am Canadian)
Occasionally we encounter fully-trained teachers here in Ontario who are having difficulty finding employment. Needless to say we'd like to have something worthwhile to tell them. Could you please tell me about alternative jobs that such people would be interested in (that might even improve their teaching job prospects), specialties that are in demand, additional qualifications that help, more places to look for jobs ... in short, anything we could offer them?

Thanks for your help!

I successfully added myself to the map - it just takes rather a long time to load.

Hi Sue, this is a great idea! I have already found two or three ideas for further exploration :)

I will be sure to come in and investigate more fully when I return home [I am at y son's house at the moment and they do not understand my willingness to spend hours on the computer!]

take care everyone and HAPPY NEW YEAR

Thanks for the invitation, Sue! My wife Daina and I live in Vancouver and run pixton.com, a website where you can create comics without having to draw. As well as our free, public website, we have an educational version, Pixton for Schools. We're committed to making Pixton both fun and educational. It's an ongoing work, and we always welcome feedback.

P.S. The map isn't loading for me, so for the moment I'm not able to add myself to it.

@ ms -- what is the 100 Music Education Bloggers Campaign? & welcome!

@ David Truss -- I have to admit to being tongue-in-cheek with that comment about the Canadian blog awards. I also like a good 'edu-read' whatever its source, but the fact that they believed there was so little interest in Canadian edubloggers' work that they'd dropped the category altogether rather offended me as well.
