Is there a need for English as a Second Language teachers in Montreal/Quebec? Before I make the leap to get jobs teaching French Immersion, my husband and I thought it would be great to live in Quebec for a year, to boost the language skills (my French is fluent, but not perfect).

 

Is there work in both the private schools and public? My degrees are in German and History (with a Master's in education), so I have no official degree in English. But, as a native speaker, who has taught ESL, I would like to think I'd be a good candidate. Does anyone know?

Hi, Nice to join. I'm an entrepreneur from Winnipeg who has an interest in education. I just built a website called Enterthegroup.com which allows students to manage their group projects online for free. It also allows teachers to manage classrooms online too.

Thanks to Agnes for the DialogueOnline.ca link. I'm a Social Science teacher looking for collaboration opportunities with other classrooms - especially for the "Philosophy for Teens" class (grade 10&11 students). Hi Everyone. I'm in Calgary - working as a faculty development officer at Bow Valley College. Love to see examples of post-secondary applications for NING and other Web 2.0 technologies such as wikis, etc. I'm enrolled right now in the PBWorks summer camp and learning lots about possibilities with wikis. Any examples from post-secondary that could be shared with instructors to stimulate ideas and dream about the possibilities?
