I work in the IT department of a charter management organization. We provide IT support for four charter schools. We are looking into getting a large number of iPods for use in the classroom. I am interested in getting feedback from those that already manage a large number of iPods. Specifically, I would like to know about cart systems for charging/syncing multiple iPods. Which products have you used and what do you think of them? Any advice on how to manage a large group of iPods would also be appreciated: best practices, products, your experiences, ideas you have yet to implement, etc.

Hi Cody,

We use the Belkin iPod cart in combination with a laptop for syncing and charging. Additionally, using Smart Playlists in iTunes is a must for managing large numbers. Check out some resources and best practices we have posted for the use of the iPod in the classroom:

Hope this helps!
