What Do you Think About Kindles in the Classroom?

I think that it would be cool to have a class set of Kindles for reading time and for a reading center area. Personally I do not want to see printed books die but we now have the Kindle technology that does so much for a generation. We could save paper and even have a wider library in the classroom if we use Kindles. Do you think that this is an attainable, one day technology feat for the classroom or not?
