web 2.0 collaboration with students from war-affected areas?

Does anyone have experience using web 2.0 technologies to link up their students with students from war-affected areas? I've just started down this road: we've created a wiki (http://bosco-uganda.wikispaces.com) where some teachers are interacting, and planning student interaction. I'd be interested in hearing what others in the classroom 2.0 community might be doing in this area.
