I need help!  I want my 5th grade students to create a virtual field trip of some of the different world biomes.  Does anyone know of a good, free program for the students to use?  I would like to have them available on the web for others to view/use.

Second Life is free and has many places to visit on virtual field trips (Notre Dame Cathedral, NASA Rocket Lab to name a few), but, as always, this is a public forum. You might consider creating your own avatar in Second Life and taking your students to different places via screen projection. Students can take turns telling you what to do or get a turn with the mouse. An advantage is you can usually get an upclose view of things by "flying" as in to the top of the Sistine Chapel. Good luck.
Thanks for the idea. I want the students to create their own virtual field trips but am having trouble finding a good site for them to do that.
You probably want Google Earth. There are some landform/biome tours already on the Google Earth Community. I had fifth graders create a 'Wonders of Google Earth' tour last year where they selected from 7 sites from a list of 30 Wonders of the World and created a tour. It saves the location, allows students to enter brief text, automatically moves from one to the next, allows students to add pictures. It was very fun.
