At last I got my laptops and my wireless broadband in my classroom today. I only have 1 computer for each group of 4 students but its such a step forward for any school in our area. I am even more excited than the kids! Its even better than when we got our interactive white board.

The thing is now, I need to plan the best way to use all this technology. I was hoping for some help, advice and inspiration.

If anyone has any advice or has already been through this kind of an upgrade in the classroom I would really appreciate your help.

With your wireless, you could hook it up to your LCD projector and give whole class instruction on topics/activities kids will do in small groups of 4 on your class desktops. I would create internet scavenger hunts where teams compete each other. I used a free site called www.filamentality.com to create them (or you can explore searches already there). I have some on my own website if you would like to see the layouts http://www.ellteacherpros.com/home/lessons/ .

What grade do you teach?
