My senior Algebra 3 / Trigonometry students are working on an ongoing chapter review page on our class wiki.. Each week we are discussing a new topic in trigonometry. Two days prior to the quiz, they are to summarize the information by creating practice problems, finding tutorials on the web, finding links to sites they could use to study for the quiz, creating podcasts, screencasts. or even videos of themselves working problems and explaining examples. I am trying to teach them how to use the web as a resource for next year when they go to college. They need to become self reliant on finding help without just asking the professor. With the growth of the internet, there are so many resources available if only they knew how to find them and knew how to separate the good from the bad. I am asking anyone who reads this post to view my 2nd period and 3rd period group projects. If you would like to leave any comments for my students the invite key is ahsmath.

Very cool idea, Darin. I hope to do this someday with my Statistics students using Moodle. What are the pros and cons of this type of assignment/review/collaboration based on what you've seen so far?
