I used Skype all last year to connect my social studies classrooms to the world. This year, the district tech admins cut our access. They said it is a security issue and compromises the county network. Has anyone heard anything about this? Is it true? Is Skype blocked in your district?

Thanks

We had the same issue in Seattle Schools. I read some available information and believe the concerns are valid (i.e. supernoding). I did some research and found Sight Speed (mac and pc). Our network group and I experimented and found it to be easy to download and very stable. Here is one link . You do need to create an account.
