I recently downloaded Camtasia Studio to record a "screencast" (video of my computer screen). I can't recommend this software highly enough. I can imagine many uses of this in an educational setting - including training videos (for students or produced by students), online research and presentations. It includes integration with powerpoint to make an online presentation really come alive. To see what you can do, here's my first screencast, produced in about an hour.
