A teacher in my district recently asked me about using the Read and Write Gold software from Texthelp with our Mimio interactive whiteboards and I am stumped...

What she wanted to do was create a page with separate letters that could be individually read out loud by Read and Write Gold. Then, we wanted students to be able to sort those letters into words and have the completed words read aloud. We found that we could eventually get the software to read the individual textboxes, but not the separate textboxes that had been combined into longer words.

Does anyone have any suggestions about how to do this type of activity with the Mimio and Read and Write Gold software? Or, does anyone know of any other software or websites that would let us do this?

Thank you!!
