Planetfesto Earth Day project update and question

This forum has been so helpful for us when we launched Planetfesto.org. For those new, Planetfesto’s mission is to help to spark a change in humanity’s relationship with the planet worldwide while promoting immediate and tangible results.

To do that, we’ve created a project to build an online ribbon around the world created entirely by individuals. Each person puts up a photo, a statement of why they love the planet, and what they will do to save it. 64 countries have participated so far. And around the world, students and teachers have been our greatest supporters. We have nearly 10,000 individuals who have participated. You can view the ribbon at www.planetfesto.org.

I wanted to suggest this as a great Earth Day project for those of you looking for one that engages hearts as well as minds, but mainly I'd love to know:
-- For those of you who have participated, what has been best about the experience and what needs to be improved?
-- What would make it more engaging and fulfilling to kids?
-- What other sites/blogs are you reading that we should reach out to?
