I wanted to share some additional info on the new Virtual High School proposal in New York.  As most of you know we have online learning expanding at a lightning pace across the country.  New York, being one of the last states to embrace this concept, has included the same in its Race to the Top application for federal grant dollars to reform education.

My blog www.hybridhighschool.com contains info on the status of this in New York.

As a teacher who uses online learning at the high school level, I am not too intimidated by this. I do see many issues which must be considered, however.

I wonder what your experience is with online learning at the high or middle school level?  Is it as controversial in other parts of the country or world?
