Please head over to the newly created group for Multi-Touch Interactive Desk Development

Durham University are developing the use of an interactive multi-touch desk and application platform. We are currently looking for educators to submit ideas for learning activities and possible gestures that could be enhanced with the use of multi-touch interactivity.

The 4 year research project has an open source philosophy and so we have a great opportunity as an education community to shape the future of classroom interactive devices through our suggestions and contributions. As opposed to always being the consumer.

I encourage you to head over to the group, sign up and suggest your ideas - any age range, any subjects. They could be ideas that already work well on an IWB or something completely new, pushing the boundaries a little and that is perhaps unlocked due to multi-touch interaction.

You can also join in with the Flickr group for more visual contributions. Please see my blog post for more details of I how I got involved.

I look forward to your help, involvement and ideas.
