how to contact other teachers

Hi,

As I wrote in my last post I'm new to this site and web 2.0. So I've been researching past topics.

If I find a post and i want to contact that teacher for more information, is there a way to email them without first becoming friends. Or do I just post to discussion, even if it's several months old?

IMO, if there contact information is posted publicly (on blog, profile page, etc), I would feel free to contact them. If not, send them a message through Classroom 2.0 or a reply to their post. I always set up my posts so that I get an e-mail when someone responds.
