Hi I am new to this forum and would love to get new ideas to make my class more exciting!

Greetings to everyone or as we all say here in GUAM .. HAFA ADAI!!! My name is Elmer Alves and I am currently teaching 3rd grade at St. John's School, and international school in Tumon Guam. I have signed up a class to learn new ways on how I can integrated technology into our current curriculum. I am excited to learn other things that can make my class more exciting for my students.

Hi Elmer,

You may want to check out the resources available on http://www.educationalsynthesis.org .... be sure to allow enough time to fully explore the site. Let me know what you are teaching your 3rd graders, and if I can figure a way to make it available online (to print or use online), I will add it to the website above.

Since I am not sure what language you use on Guam, I don't know how useful My Own Books will be. They are stories about people and events in history, folktales, a geography lesson, and books for beginning readers that are all PERSONALIZED to each reader. They can then be read online or printed and stapled into little books. I just finished one on the story of King Midas. Most of the History Hat books are on American History, which may or may not be suitable. But, I think the First Readers are general enough to be interesting.

Let me know what is useful!
