A student from Cameroon has recently been added to my class. She seems like a great kid, very polite and quiet. She does not speak or understand English very well. Reading English is difficult for her and it takes a very long time for us to communicate. Her native language is French. Can anyone suggest a program or any ideas as to how to help this student suceed? All suggestions are welcome!

We use it in our Foreign Language classrooms all the time and we often have German exchange students taking French or Spanish. WordChamp allows the user to hover over a word and it gets translated into the language of their choice. The students can also hear a pronunciation of the word if they click on the loudspeaker icon.
The site isn't free. It's $25 for a year but we think it is worth it.
